What if peace isn’t something we create?

Illustration of a smiling turtle floating down a river on a leaf, past rocks marked Should, Must and Why me

Perhaps peace isn’t waiting at the end of life.
Perhaps it’s waiting at the end of our resistance.

Life is always moving through us. It arrives as a longing to create, a tear that wants to fall, a difficult conversation asking to be spoken, or a quiet invitation to rest.

Then something inside whispers,

“Not now.”
“This shouldn’t be happening.”
“I need to be different.”

The flow tightens.

What if our deepest work isn’t to control life, but to become curious about where it is trying to move?

Saying “Yes” doesn’t mean approving of everything that happens. It means no longer fighting the reality of what is already here.

And something remarkable begins to happen.

The energy once spent resisting becomes available for living.

The river hasn’t changed.

We’ve simply stopped trying to swim upstream.

The turtle doesn’t force the current.
It simply learns how to wobble with it.

Where is life trying to move in you right now? I’d love to hear.
