There is no hurry

Watercolour of turtles walking slowly along a winding path, one pausing beside a seedling, with the words There is no hurry

We live in a world that celebrates quick answers and instant transformation. Yet nature follows a different rhythm.

A seed never apologises for not becoming a tree overnight. It quietly receives the rain, the warmth of the sun and the nourishment of the soil before anything appears above the surface.

Perhaps we grow in much the same way.

Our deepest learning often happens long after the conversation has ended. It unfolds in silence, in reflection, and in the small moments when we notice ourselves responding to life with a little more awareness, compassion or joy.

A pause is not empty. It is where experience settles and wisdom begins to take root.

The turtles remind me that life is not a race to arrive. It is an invitation to walk gently, together, trusting that every step and every pause is shaping who we are becoming.

Until the path and the one walking become one.

Where in your life might a little less hurry help? I’d love to hear.
